might very well be called poof balls.

Mushroom season is in. Everyone is out there walking through parks, woods, hunting down mushrooms and trying to get their hands on different ones.

I've heard about the puff balls a couple of times but just can't imagine what they are like - huge mushrooms the size of footballs that might burst with a cloud of spores.

They seemed very illusive, even surreal...until I saw them.

We drove pass a field one very early and misty morning and there they were, popping out of the wet green field, as if someone had left a bunch of footballs out after training.

We stopped the car, jumped out, took about half a dozen and drove off very quickly. It was a mushroom heist. Gone in 60s.

Much bigger than Stuart's foot.

It's as big as a baby.
Now, I can say they are not illusive; they are very real and very tasty.

But they might as well be called magic poof balls based on how quickly we made them disappear.
