gotta have zotter.

Top : Pumpkin Seed with Marzipan
Bottom: Poppy Seed with Cinnamon and Apricot.
When in Austria, head straight for Zotter. Don't waste time on Mozart Kugelns. Should anyone give you some as souvenirs, return them. Better yet, tell them to bring you back some Zotter before they leave.

For food brands, there is much to rave about and learn from. For chocolate fans, this can be your single source of happiness from now till eternity.

Besides being organic, sustainable, a fairtrader and generally behaving like a responsible and respectable company all round, Zotter innovates like a mad artist. This is a prime example of what food innovation should be about in terms of playfulness, dreaminess and speediness. Something which, believe it or not, seems like common sense but some food brands from blue chip companies required a lot of convincing on.

I tried to look for the number of flavours and products they have but couldn't find any. If you look on their website there are 70 pages worth of products to choose from. This should give you a good idea of the variety they have. And here are some to get your taste buds going :

Cinnamon Apple and Honey.
Spiced Marzipan on Cinnamon Nougat.
Plum coffee and Bacon.
Cranberries and Herbs.
Walnuts with Saffron.
Pumpkin Seed Brittle.
Cashew Nougat with Field Flowers.

Nevermind the fact that they make chocolates. Aren't you tempted to try these combinations on just about anything?

Even better news. They ship.
